A new journey

August 13, 2009, marked a new chapter in my life. I have been learning and growing  in a wonderful place since I graduated college in 2005. I am very grateful and fortunate to have found a place to grow my skills and make new friends. However, there will always come a time to move on and today was that day.

I am excited for the new road ahead and the uncertainties that come along with it. I welcome the new challenges and laugh in the face of danger! I feel like I’m 6 again and have dreams of going to the moon. (maybe I will!)

It is with a sad heart that I am leaving my friends and what I’ve known for 5 years behind but I am excited for what’s next.

Tools of the Trade

Here is a list of tools that aid me in the business/administration portion of my freelancing career.

  1. Squared Moleskine notebook http://bit.ly/moleskine_squared
  2. Basecamp for project managing http://bit.ly/basecampr
  3. Tick for time tracking http://tickspot.com/
  4. Freshbooks for invoicing http://www.freshbooks.com/
  5. iCal for setting up appointments/to-do(s) http://bit.ly/ical
  6. Tweetie for distractions http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-mac/

Those are primarily the tools that help me keep track of all my client relations and projects. Let me know what you like to use because I am always open to a better workflow.

Cheers

*These are the tools that I use for freelancing. For keeping track of my projects at my day job I enjoy using both iCal and Culture Code’s wonder application Things. As always pen and moleskine is king.
