Fireside Chat with Director Darren Lynn Bousman
Director Darren Lynn Bousman recently visited Full Sail University to promote and screen his new film Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Bousman was on a whirlwind tour that included 7 cities in 7 days. He and fellow writer/actor Terrance Zdunich personally went to every screening and just hung out with the fans.
Even with 3 successful movies under his belt, Saw 2, 3 and 4, it’s refreshing to see that...

New Skine
Just picked up a new Moleskine today for the new year. I thought I’d post some artwork that I’ve done. Some images were drawn on my mac pro using Sketchbook Pro. Enjoy.

The Convergence of Film and Gaming
One day the lines of games and movies will be so blurred we will advance so far into new ways of entertainment only to realize we’ve come full circle back to live theater. Imagine a fully interactive live video game on stage! By stage I mean the intarnatz and everyone is an actor watching/playing his/her own role.

Feeling NYC!
Some of you may know my fascination with NYC but have never even visited the city. I’ve always wondered what I would do first when I finally make the trip. Should I map out my adventures by researching this or that? I don’t want to miss a thing but what if I’m not feeling that? It just so happens ifeelnyc.com answers that question.
“I Feel NYC is a new way to share things you like doing in NYC...

Giclée Art by Andreina
My good friend, Andreina, is a talented artist living in the Bay Area that creates these beautiful pieces of art through a process that I have never heard of until recently. It’s called Giclée, pronounced “ zhee-clay”, which is a really neat process of creating fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing.
You can check out Andreina’s artwork below or go to her store and buy one...

No Fire in this Fox :(
For some reason Firefox , it’s the latest version of FF 3.0.4 as of this writing, on my MBP won’t even start up. I’ve uninstalled the application and reinstalled. I’ve deleted all of my add-ons and such thinking that they might be the culprit, still nothing! I’ve emailed Mozilla a few times now. At first it was a lot of curses but as I realized...

A Six Foot Giraffe and A SadSad
Two awesome designers to look out for in 2009. Both are amazing at what they do. Don’t take my word for it, check them out yourself!
SixFootGiraffe’s work reminds me of Picasso’s very vibrant and unmistakable paintings. Not all the lines are straight and there are so many things that grab you and just suck you in yet it still is able to tell a cohesive story in just one frame. His pieces are...

Back in Black T-shirt Exhibit
Had a great time in Tampa with Sarah and our friends Levin, Erika and Mr. Bautista at the Back in Black T-shirt Exhibit on Saturday. It was the first time I’ve been to a t-shirt exhibit. The way it worked was you had a choice of designs by your favorite artist and from there you picked out what color tshirt you want the design printed on and then they screen print it for you on the spot!...

Books
I am currently reading Designing for the Social Web by Joshua Porter. Designing for the Social Web is a look into the mechanics of online social networking. It centers on the idea that there are certain hurdles that a company must over come in order to bring in users and...
